Centerburg: The Jacque’s Kids Food Pantry located at 12 West Main Street in Centerburg has special food boxes ready to go to families and individuals that reside in the Centerburg School District and have an income at 200% poverty level or below. The USDA and Job and Family Services set up the income requirement to receive food. Individual income must be $2,081 or below a month. Family of four (4) must be $4,291 or below per month.
All families that were on free or reduced lunch program at school, may receive free food from the pantry. Families and individuals are encouraged to come to the pantry to get your free food! With property taxes and school supplies needing to be covered, the free food can help keep the budget in line and give you funds for these obligations.
You will receive more than seven days of food and the food selection has been updated to allow for summer cookouts of hamburger, hot dogs, baked beans and chips, beside all kinds of meats, vegetables, fruits, pasta and lunch type foods and snacks.
When you come to get your food, please come to the entrance off the back alley. Enter the pantry thru the double red doors with cement block walkway. Our hours of operation are Monday, 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Tuesday, 12:00 (noon) to 3:00 p.m.; and Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Special arrangements for food can be made by calling 740-625-5674 and leave a message. We will call you back as soon as possible. When you come to get your food, please bring a picture ID and proof of residence. You may come every month for food.
Your confidentiality is very important to us. Discussion of who comes for food remains private.
Hope to see you soon!
